Camp Paul (Overnight Camp)
Camp Paul Overnight is a week long overnight recreational camping
experience for challenged young people who can participate in activities and
games, care for their personal hygiene needs and help make choices for the
daily program.  This program is open to young people ages 12 to 21.  Young
adults that have been attending other programs at The Paul Center who are
over 21 but in transition to adult programs may be considered if Camp Paul is
deemed appropriate to their needs.

The program has a focus on traditional recreational activities.  The
participant is encouraged to independently choose from a variety of daytime
activities.  Some activities include swimming, fishing, nature hikes, cooking,
scavenger hunts, volleyball, basketball, music and art activities.  As with all
the programs at The Paul Center when a 'teaching moment' occurs staff
takes the opportunity to maximize this 'teaching and learning moment' to
reinforce skills in activities of daily living and social skills.  Each year the
Westford-Chelmsford Knights of Columbus sponsor a Carnival Day with a
special breakfast, activities and prizes.  Other activities during the week
include sing-a-longs, a bonfire,  special guest presentations and movie night.
The highlight of the week is an annual dance with music and entertainment
provided by a DJ.

The program is divided into two half-sessions to provide for some options for
families.  Applications are available in May.
